Black Jane Adult Shoes

70s Shoes - Black Jane Adult ShoesHere is a ‘moderate platform’ shoe of similar design to the one shown in the video, however this is a lovely smooth shiny black example designed especially for the more sophisticated lady.

These Black Mary Jane shoes feature a 4 inch heel with a double strap, and are available in womens sizes from 6 all the way up to 12.

They’re not restricted to disco fashion due to their smooth appearance, but will complement any outfit you choose to wear and they will be at home at a disco, night club or even the office Christmas party.

Previous customers have rated them highly and say they are very comfortable, even for people with a wider foot. Essential when strutting your stuff on the dance floor.

Cheetah Platform ShoesCheetah Platform Adult Shoes

A great example of a platform 70s shoe, both the sole and heel are considerably raised making you taller.

You’ll definitely stand out in a crowd wearing these, especially when doing the jungle dance.

The Cheetah Platform shoes include a 3 inch heel and front laces. They are available in mens sizes from 8 through to size 13.

Pink Glitter Platform ShoesEveryone has seen those videos of Disco Parties where both men and women wore what where at that time considered to be outrageous, at least in the 70s, disco shoes and platforms that were very brightly colored with super high heels.

What was particularly interesting and a real break through was that it wasn’t just women who enjoyed showing off their 70s shoes, but men for the first time got out of those boring office or work footwear and gave those Disco dancing girls a run for their money by sporting a cool pair of  platform or high heel Disco shoes.

So how did the 70s Shoes Craze get started?

Platform shoes were once worn by the Greeks and Italians back in the 16th century and later in the 18th century by Europeans to protect their feet from the dirty streets. They started to gain popularity in the USA, UK and  Europe in the 1930s, 40 and 50s, but nowhere near the big explosion in popularity they gained in the late 1960s and of course in the 70s, continuing on through to the early 1980s. Even today they can still be found in one guise or another, however they have been ‘toned down’ to some extent but they’ve never really gone away, so be proud and have fun wearing your 70s shoes whether they are platforms or wedges.
